InXpress Move-In Removal Checklist
Handy people to notify of your move
Bank, Credit cards, employer,royal mail, Satellite or cable tv, car
insurance, tv licensing, rental companies, electric companies,
doctors, insurance companies, local authority, milkman, DHSS, DVLC,
telephone company, hospitals, gas company, accountant, dentist,
friends and family, inland revenue, pensions, national insurance,
optician, solicitors, schools Removal Checklist
Kitchen
Check all drawers in unit’s, cupboards, fitted oven and top of unit.
Remove all clocks, pictures and hooks
Empty your bins and ensure that you have a kettle handy
Ensure that dishwashers and washing machines are disconnected or
that arrangements have been made.
Defrost your freezer and empty.
Disconnect your cooker.
Bedrooms
Remove all mirrors, picture hooks
Remove curtain poles and tie backs if required
Ensure all cupboards, fitted wardrobes and shelves are cleared
Remove light shades
Bathrooms
Remove scales, mats, towels, shower curtains, rails and toileters
Ensure bathroom cabinets and cupboards are emptied.
Ensure airing cupboards are cleared.
Living Room/Lounge
Remove mirrors, pictures and hooks.
Remove Hi Fi speakers and brackets.
Remove light fittings you are taking with you.
Attic/Garage
Ensure that attic is emptied
Ensure that workbenches, shelves tools and fittings are removed from
garage.
Garden Shed/ Garden
Make arrangements for dismantling of your garden shed if you are
taking this with you.
Check that all garden fittings and plants are removed if you are
taking them with you
Final Check list
Check behind all doors
Check all rooms are empty
Check attic / study empty
Check all cupboards
Check Garage
Take meter readings
Take electric readings
If you are on a water meter check meter readings
Cancel telephone lines.
Re direct all post.
