InXpress Move-In Removal Hints and Tips
Removal Hints and Tips
If you are unsure of any questions then we can arrange a member
of our staff to visit you to look at the house and access to assist
with a hassle free move. Here are some helpful hints and tips:
Make a list to help you to record what's in each box or
container.
Maybe use numbers on the box’s and have a checklist to clarify which
rooms each box is designated to.
Make sure you mark your box’s with an indelible marker. (Things do
rub off)
Don’t overfill!!
Don’t under fill!!!
Ensure that you have sufficient packing materials (remember we can
help here!)
Beware of newsprint
Take care with your soft furnishings - maybe purchase covers
Start packing well in advance.
Stick to boxes for smaller items. They will stack better and be less
likely to get knocked
Suitcase’s and luggage are very good for storage of clothes.
Don’t pack important documents
like
Passport, solicitors details, driving
licence etc
Food should be stored into boxes, making sure all bottle’s and screw
lids are secure and kept up right.
Paint & Other liquids have to be containerised in leak proof
containers.
Pets should be considered before the day of the move. It is
generally better if they are removed from the premises before the
move takes place.
Fridge and Freezers need to be defrosted prior to your move
Washing machines and dishwashers need to be drained before hand
Garden Tools and equipment which have petrol driven motors need to
be drained. |
